Welcome!

Linda JeffersIn a world of so many great photographers and writers, I am venturing into some unknown territories, leaving comfort zones finally very willing to practice the art of seeing. By maintaining the practice of posting daily photos, I hope to continue learning about the possibilities that I trust are out there for the taking.

Come join me on my journey!

09.26.09 The Mindful Eye Workshop, Jackson, WY : Sept 26th - Oct 2nd, 2009
At the beginning of this workshop we were told we'd have two different morning and evening shooting assignments (at incredibly beautiful locations)....along with two morning and afternoon classroom sessions. Along with working on our assignment photos we were also told before the end of the workshop we would shooting for and turning in a photo project containing 8 - 12 photos shot based on a concept. Each participant was to tell what concept they would shoot for by the end of the second day. This project concept should be a subject matter we normally wouldn't shoot.
I picked Abstracts. After I started shooting, I realized I was shooting alot of motion blur shots of trees. So my concept by the end I called Abstracts, Motion and Trees.
I must thank Carol Leigh for having taught a lesson on how to shoot while zooming the lens in or out, or both at the same time if the shutter allows. Before I left for the workshop, Carol had been posting tree motion shots on her daily blog. I loved how they looked. Now I have some of my own.
